Spring. It’s that time of year when the birds are chirping, the 🌼flowers are blooming, and days are getting longer. A time of year when the Earth says, notice me! What better time to celebrate Earth Day?!

While we love having a day dedicated to celebrating our home planet, living a compassionate life allows you to celebrate Earth Day - every day!

Peaceful Choices

Here at The Compassionate Closet, we believe the most effective way to help reverse the devastating effects of pollution, deforestation, global warming, and resource depletion, is to adopt a vegan lifestyle. Being vegan means making peaceful choices.

Over half of the water consumption in the United States is consumed by animal agriculture and 116,000 pounds of animal waste expelled each second. Additionally, it takes approximately one-sixth of an acre of land to feed a vegan for a year, versus 3 acres for a meat eater. We’re proud to be part of a movement that makes such a positive impact on the planet.

Fashioning a Movement

We believe it easy to lead a compassionate life without sacrifice in luxury or style.

Cruelty-free fashion means no animals have to suffer in order for us to look good. Eschewing leather, wool, silk, suede, fur and all other products originating from an animal means that we can look good and feel good!

With the apparel industry having such a large eco footprint (contributing 12.8 million tons of waste in 2013), sustainable style comes easy with materials such as hemp, cotton, cork, ecological microfibers, pineapple leaves, and PET

Any fashion business depends on the people behind it. Avoiding fast fashion also helps us to live compassionately by avoiding companies that exploit their workers in order to produce clothing as quickly and as cheaply as possible. We love a fabulous outfit, but we love our fellow humans more!

We love working with brands that share our same values!

Inspiring a Better World

Earth Day is an inspiring time to reflect on the environmental impact of our daily choices: what we do, buy, eat, and wear. Every product has an unavoidable environmental cost, but living compassionately means that we are doing our best to minimize our impact and to create a better world – won’t you join us? 💚🌏
